Children’s Ministry at Trinity United Smiths Falls
We have Sunday School during our regular services on the 2nd and last Sunday of every month. Our Sunday School room overlooks the Sanctuary so parents and children can see each other. If your child prefers to be in service with you, we always welcome the sound of children in our Church. We have a children’s table and chairs up near the stage that your child can draw or read at.

Sunday School Teachers:
Hi, I am Cathy Pickup a retired Child and Youth Worker.
My time has been spent working, volunteering, playing and travelling.
I spend more time with my husband Ric and children Tabetha and Kyle.
Teaching Sunday school has been a big part of my life.
I taught many years when I was younger and enjoyed every minute.
I also led a youth group with Karen then Jackie.
When asked to teach again I felt quite excited.
I have had a great two years and hope to continue.
Teaching with Kim McKenna and being with the children add to my life.
Hi everyone: My name is Kim McKenna and I’m a Sunday School teacher with my dear friend Cathy. The two of us have been involved with Sunday School for a very long time. Cathy taught my kids, and I taught hers. Now we are teaching my grandchildren. I love everything about Trinity United and I don’t remember a time in my life when it didn’t play a huge role.
Years ago, Trinity hosted our very own Vacation Bible School. However our congregation is aging and many members find it hard to keep up to our little ones. We have decided to join forces with Camp Awesome and two of our sister Churches (St. Paul’s United Perth and Zion-Memorial United Carleton Place) in providing a weeklong Christian Day Camp. In 2023 Trinity Hosted and in 2024 our friends at St. Paul’s United Church in Perth. Camp is held in July each year. Check out 2024’s Poster. As you can see there is a free bus, lunch and snacks provided. Even though this camp is not free, Trinity United has sponsorships available from our generous members. We strive to provide financial assistance so ALL children can attend camp and learn about Jesus and His love for all.
